Tech TOur - Exploring DAR websites and social media
Expand your knowledge and find new passions as we take you on a guided tour of the National, State and Chapter websites and our Chapter social media. There is a wealth of information to be had and resources to be tapped on all these platforms. From finding genealogical records and committee projects to learning about state and national events, this tour aims to guide you through the best uses of these tools.

Guest Speaker: Aurora Dopp - Assistant Director, Fund Development & Communications
Aurora will present an overview of this Bay Area-based, nonprofit organization’s services to veterans including free housing, health and legal advice, and job support. Members will learn which warm clothing is most urgently needed to support our veterans through the cold months. Clothing will be collected and and delivered to the organization by DAR volunteers.

History of the blue angels
Guest Speaker: Nick Veronico - Author and Historian
To celebrate the Blue Angels 80th anniversary year, Nick will share the history of the U.S. Navy’s flight demonstration squadron. Formed in 1946, the unit is the second oldest formal aerobatic team in the world and the "Blues" still employ many of the same practices and techniques used in the inaugural 1946 season.

Join us as we serve in this important day of honor and remembrance. This event is held annually during the second week of December. We will be laying wreaths on soldier’s graves and hosting a warming tent with free coffee and treats for all in attendance. Click here for our Chapter donations page.

White House Weddings
Guest Speaker: Sheri Fenley, Historian, Genealogist, DAR Member
Dig through your closets for mementos from family weddings to show and/or wear. This month we’re exploring the ceremony, food, and fashion of past White House weddings, including Alice Roosevelt’s. Indulge in cake and champagne, and prepare to catch the bouquet!
